It all began in 2006 through the visionary initiative of our institute, to initialize the concept of ISTHMUS -“Bridging the gap between the Healthcare Industry and the Academic world.” Our journey so far has been a great learning experience where both the industry and the academia have made rigorous efforts to achieve our goals through co-operation and collaboration.

Isthmus, 2007

In the inaugural session, we had organized a Pharma quiz- API (Absolute Pharma Intellect) with the objective of making the event interactive and meaningful and thus facilitating increased knowledge of the participants on the functioning and importance of Healthcare industry.

Isthmus, 2008

In the second year, buoyed by our initial success, we leaped forward to organize a Healthcare Business Conference. This Conference saw some of the big names of the Industry interact with the students and enlighten them about what goes on behind the scenes.

Isthmus 2009

Encouraged by the positive response of the Healthcare industry, we were inspired to provide further impetus to ‘Bridging the Gap’ between the Healthcare industry and the Pharmacy colleges by organizing the second season of ISTHMUS -TRANSCENDING HORIZONS in 2009.

In ISTHMUS ’09, we further added value through Poster-it-out: A national Poster Presentation Competition on topics of Healthcare industry.

In the forthcoming season of ISTHMUS, in addition to the above three elements we introduced another event,i365: International Online Discussion on subjects related to Healthcare industry in collaboration with a Canadian online pharmaceutical portal pharmainfo.net.
